Title: Phono stage recs for Almarro a318b

Accepting any and all phono stage recommendations to pair with my Almarro.  Currently just running a basic MoFi phono stage.  It does the job, but can't help but chase that dragon.  Would the Manley Chinook make a good pairing?  There's one currently for sale out there on another site.  Would prefer to keep it at or under $1k.  I like to go for things that are under valued in price in the audio world  :wink:

   Although, I've never heard this one in my own system but an audio friend of mine locally here in NYC have this and he is very happy with it.

Thanks Buddy.  That's actually one that I've been considering.  I am going to check out an AES Cary PH-1 tomorrow... any experience?  Everything I've read seems to be quite positive.

I also have an Almarro a318b and built a Bottlehead Eros phono preamp that I really like. However, you have to like DIY and for MC cartridges you may need an SUT.

I used a Graham Slee Era Gold then a Graham Slee MM Assession with my Almarro to good results.
