When your wife finds out what they cost, their appearance will be the least of your troubles.

If you can afford a pair of half a million dollar speakers, somehow I don't think that money is a concern.

Definite extra credit for originality.

For room treatment, just spread out some newspapers and maybe a couple rubber dog poops for effect...

Gene DellaSalla at Audioholics had a pair of these RBH Flagship speakers. He sold them to get the new active System SVTRS There is a YouTube video of it.

Yeah that occurred to me as I was typing. She's probably quite happy already.

Those headless dogs are creeping me out though. Just not right.

The designers at Buro Vormkrijgers, a Dutch design studio, call it "functional kitsch", but you might think of it as a speaker that redefines the meaning of the word "woofer".

In fact, those crazy Dutchmen have punnishly (punishingly?) named this unusual speaker "Woofer". They describe it as a speaker that "holds the middle between your loyal four footed companion, and an addition to your surround sound system. By adding a function to an otherwise “grotesque” object, it acquires new aesthetic values, becoming an object of desire."

This thread shows what happens when guys have too much time and materials on their hands.  And too much imagination without the restraints of logic, responsibility, and science.

I would add that they don’t have the restraints of a wife. Or taste.
