All good ones. Being a cyclist, I'll throw out Andy's Giro climb.

No matter what you think of his character, he was the definition of "badass."
Phil Liggett: "He got a look into the eyes of Jan Ullrich and said "Well, are you coming or not?" And the answer is... NOT!"

Donnie Shell's hit on Earl Campbell. I was watching this game live and remember the announcer stating, "he literally buried is helmet in Campbell's ribs."
And the replay backed it up.

One of my favorites of Ray Nitschke, 1962. There are others, in color, where he's got blood spattered on his uniform, but this one does it for me.

I couldn't find a good pic of Randy blowing up that bird... but he deserves an honorable mention for such nastiness.

Btw Jan Ullrich was badass, just didn't train as hard. Cyclists have the "feeling" it moments and they don't always happen at the same time. Here's an example of when Jan was feeling it... I can't even begin to describe how tough he is to do pull like a freight train up that hill, where other guys are literally jumping out of the saddle to try to stay with him and failing miserably. Sadly they all were cheating so who knows what about who's really the best.

Another spectacular picture.
Phil Baker in the 1978 AFL Grand Final.
Enjoy.

Guy on the right thinks,
"Will go high and he is gone"!
Guy on the left ducks down and extends.
The guy on the right is stuck in the air with nowhere to go.
Point lost!
Bet he does not do that again.

And, ....
Yes I am a fencer.

Gotta say that there is a difference between someone who excels at their sport vs. the "baddass" connotation. There's a certain intimidation factor an athlete has to bring to their game to qualify for the later.
