The big box that the cabinets came in contained a lot of sheets of foam padding.  I am wondering if I could use this foam padding as internal lining for the cabinets?

Any reason not to have the crossover on the top like pictured? Then I can get the brace behind the woofer properly.

For the internal filling is there any difference between using wool insulation (i have a load around) vs polly fill which i would have to buy?

Thanks again everyone!

Either placement will work just fine, so long as the crossover is properly secured to the cabinet walls.

As for infill, its all a matter of taste, some are fine with polyfill, others prefer fiberglass and some prefer natural wool or cotton options.
