Spotify has announced they will be offering lossless this year. In the past Spotify integration wasn't a big priority since the music wasn't lossless. The only way to play Spotify was to use Shairplay which was okay and the SQ suffered.

I suspect more people in the high end community will be switching over to Spotify once the lossless service comes out.

What is Bryston's stance on Spotify going forward?

I think it is something we will certainly look at.  We already offer Spotify on our wireless speaker products.

That's good to know. Looks like the A1 has Spotify Connect. Having Spotify Connect on existing Bryston BDP has been at the top of my Wishlist. Bit-perfect native playback of Spotify without any conversion like Shairplay would be amazing. For myself, that ranks higher than Roon in a box.

I hope this will be available on the BDP-1 and not just the newer BDPs .
