New DIYCable Employee for the holiday!

We just added another addition to the Haskins family just in time for the holiday!  His name is Abel and besides a few minor health problems seems to be on track for learning to help his old man out around the shop.  He has a real affinity to those fingers on his left hand.

Marbles:  He came with the name.  They pronounce it differently in Ethiopia  ("Ahh-Bell") but we liked it and it has stuck.

You’re right though.... I've already raised enough cain.  More than I'd like to admit.  I'm just hoping that God doesn't keep score too closely. ;)

Carlman:  Thanks... I agree.  It is an incredible thing.  Technically we didn't make him…. I've had plenty of practice on the process though!

I'm still very happy for you!!! :)

Kevin,

Congratulations to you on the addition to the Diycable clan.  Please send my regards and best wishes to your family.  As an adoptee, I can attest to the fact that the bond between a parent and child is much more than a biological connection.  I could not have picked better parents than the ones I wound up having.  I'm certain you will make an excellent father.

Cheers!

Jack

jackman:  We have a couple others already (both biological & adopted) so it isn't such a large adjustment.   We don't really spend too much time thinking about their DNA and how closely it matches ours.  I guess we are a failure by Darwin's standards.

One of the things that you never realize until you adopt is how many adoptive parents/children are out there in the world.  I used to think it was something out of the norm but no longer.

Happy Holidays....
