Can 8th Nerve products, in particular the Roompack, be painted or dyed so they match the decor?

I painted the fronts of mine with the same latex paint as the rest of my room.  Since the front part is supposed to be reflective, you can cover it with paint and not worry.  I didn't paint the edges, of the seams, though.  I figured that needed to let sound in and around them.  I think there needs to be a 1" gap to let sound into the area behind the product.

A dye would likely require you to separate the fabric from the product, requiring you to re-sew it after it's dyed and dried.  Messy, cumbersome.

Glad to hear they can be painted, but how did you spread the latex on the fabric? I was thinking of spraying.

I used a hair-bound wicking-stick and saturated cloth in a left-to-right smearing motion.  I think it would work in a circular motion but it might be best to use the L-to-R method since it's proven.  ;)

Speaking of painting, here's one application, framed and painted on :)

What material covers the front surface of the Adept models and can they be painted?

It is also fabric, and it can be painted.  The paint can extend around the entire frame, but should be avoided on the absorptive part on the rear.  The demarcation of the two surfaces is obvious.

Alternatively, you can pick any fabric you want from your local fabric store, and simply use a staple gun to stretch it around the product and affix it in place.  Done with a little care, you can't tell at all that it didn't come from the factory like that, as the ends of the fabric will all be hidden in the rear.
