Guys,
I am the ONLY person who can hear the oscillator in my TV that is 40 feet away from in my listening room. The fellow yesterday could not. I demonstrated this.
So far my hearing at the extreme HF is very good. The LF is where it's not so hot. Never has been. I wonder if it's not because my head is so small!
I always wear ear muffs in the shop or around ANY loud noises. I have amplified muffs I wear hunting....they shut off and act as hearing protection for sounds above 85 dB.
Live music is LOUD....I wear plugs for that. I do NOT always listen at extreme volumes but when called for like say, a fellow wants to buy speakers and part of his decision is going to be based on the ability to play Nirvana at "live" volumes as well as Joni Mitchell I am happy to be able to oblige. And yes, he does want a pair.
Don't worry guys, my hearing is fine and my confidence is even better.
R.Cat,
After looking at the guidelines you posted the situation is better than it appears.... I seldom if ever exceed the limits you present!
100 dB for 15 minutes!!!!!!!!!!!!! That is a whole album side!
Thanks for the comments.
Wind,
Thanks buddy, but I hope we both stay out of there for a looooong time!
