I stared at your post for 10 mins. trying to understand it, then googled the phrase and the name Cat Stevens, and found the explanation.

And yes, in the dead wax have "STERLING" LH, though the L looks like nothing more than a scratch.

Does it have LH in the dead wax?

Particularly enjoyed the raw, tasty guitar jam on "Walk On The Water."  Did these guys have fun or what.

Decal: The Jamey Johnson is terrific.  Triple LP for $25!  If you like this one, try "That Lonesome Song"

Just picked up:

Belle and Sebastian - "Write About Love"
John Mellencamp -"No Better Than This" --> in mono!

Jamey Johnson "The Guitar Song"

The  Fedex man dropped off my Jamey Johnson "The Guitar Song" LP today.I was real disappointed at the quality of the pressing(rough edges,a very pronounced hump on the lead-in grooves).I almost sent it back but said WTF,might as well give it a listen.I ran it thru the record cleaner and put it on the table for a spin.Man oh man, what a great recorded album!!I can hear things that I don't hear on the CD.Nothing is over or under done, the music sounds "real",if you will..The rough pressing has no effect on the sound that I can hear. The vinyl color is awesome, sides A & B are basic black, sides C & D are black fading to white and sides D & E are both pure white, very cool indeed. You can't beat the price $24.99+shipping for the 3LP set from AcousticSounds.I highly recommend this record. :thumb: :thumb: :thumb:

Sorry for the brief post, but LH is "Lee Hulko" who did the engineering. Apparently the best sounding copies are his. Still one of the best sounding vinyls out there!

German Import, Roxy Music box set, first seven albums. May have to give my daughter my well-worn originals. They look and sound unplayed! 75 bucks for the set.

Band on the Run is the new remastered 180g :thumb:

The others are in excellent shape (don't judge the condition of the record by the condition of the cover).

Just got back from the Tucson Record Show with 11 albums. Prices paid were from $2 to $7 each.
10,000 Maniacs is spinning right now, it's a keeper.
