No, I haven't Gene and a fieldtrip sounds like a good idea. There was a shop in Clarks Summit I went to a couple of times many years ago. (Just north of Scranton) I remember buying Canned Heat ~ Living the Blues Lp there.

Catching up with you New England Record hunting posts :D

Last Friday 4/6/12 I was at
Music Connection
1711 South Willow Street, Manchester, NH 03103
(603) 644-0199 ‎

and I picked up:

Family – Bandstand
Family – A Song For Me
Canned Heat – Future Blues

The owner Richard Gesner is a good guy, he has some great lp's at reasonable prices.  The flyer I picked up states: "New Hampshire's Largest and Oldest Record Shop" and his shop's more than 25 years old.

If near Manchester, New Hampshire do stop by the Music Connection, Richard knows his music and record labels  :thumb:

Well ... after selling off tons of junk weedings.. (A hundred Anime titles, many hundred Rock CDs, some Rock LP and a few Jazz LPs) I have aquired about a hundred Jazz Lps and another 200 Jazz Cds with the booty.
So I am really set for new Jazz.
Ned Rothenberg, Wadada Leo Smith are two of the best artist finds 'new to me' so far.  :thumb:

Yesterday 4/9/12 I was able to stop by

Mike's Music
1204 Main St., Sanford, ME 04073
 207.324.1377

and picked up:

Climax Blues Band – Tightly Knit
Mahogany Rush – Strange Universe
Magnum  – Chase The Dragon
Flash – In The Can
David Bowie – Station To Station

Mike knows his music very well, his shop is quite interesting and I enjoyed my time there.  I picked up some good lps, yet no real deals. I'll stop buy again if I am back that way  :D

Yesterday 4/9/12 I was also able to stop by

Bull Moose Records
Portsmouth , NH

and pick up:

Golden Earring – Switch
Deep Purple – Shades Of Deep Purple

Bull Moose Records was OK - nothing special, not the largest used vinyl selection, yet lots of new vinyl.  They are open late during the week to 11 PM and 12:30 AM (for the new releases) on Mondays  :D  . . . if in downtown Portsmouth New Hampshire you should stop by.

Holy Cow! I have this record, too. I bought a sealed copy off eBay a few years back but it must not be original because the copyright date is later than the original release date. In Any Event: if you are unfamiliar, listen right away to Dead And Gone. It received fairly frequent airplay in NYC back in the day and it is a great song with multiple parts. From what I remember, my copy has limited fidelity. Is yours an earlier copy?

The 60's Guy sent me an email suggesting Dead And Gone I'll listen to both LPs after dinner
