Released within the last month or so. $40 neighborhood.

Haven't heard it. Got a quiet new DSOTM, and also really liking the WYWH rerelease. But no older copies to compare to.

Nice picks! Even though Arcade Fire have been adopted by hipsters I still dig them. You should give their previous two a listen as well, they're all very good.

I haven't had a chance to listen. I'm in AZ playing golf and shopping for vinyl before meetings on Thrusday/Friday. I'll listen this weekend and let you know. I bought the 180g remaster of WYWH and it is exceptional.

Wayner,

nice haul! I have all but DCD and listen to the other 4 all the time. The King is Dead is my favorite Decemberists album. The other two Arcade Fire albums are really good too. The second, Neon Bible was recorded in an old limestone church in Quebec.

In Phoenix for a little R & R, gold and then business meetings later. Stopped at Hoodlum records in Tempe and Revolver Records in Phoenix. This is from Hoodlum. All NM and all for $20 (they were having a 20% off sale).

And this is from Revolver. Spent a little more here, although the half-speed and The Move were the only records more than $2.99 or 3.99. It's a Beautiful Day is a limited edition half-speed master. first time I have seen it. I now have a British pressing, the original U.S. pressing and this half-speed. One of my favorite albums of all time. I broke my herbel virginity on White Bird. Blows, The Yes album and Suitable are replacements for my original copies which have a scratch or two. Paul, do you have this The Move album?

I'm really liking Bon Iver right now....

Funny how all that works....I'd think the "hip" would say, that they still like AF even though they have been adopted by the masses.  Great album for sure though!

Aion, was the first DCD album I heard, therefore my favorite.  Nice prizes!

I like music the same way I like wine. Don't matter what color it is, I either like it or I don't.

I am happy to hear that there are some new bands with some actual talent, putting out some decent music. I, again, have faith in the music. I know that I have to expand my musical tastes and that is difficult for me (obsessive/compulsive), but If I have a small bit at a time, I can overcome the strangeness of new music (or anything else for that matter).

A very nice combo indeed. Played the TPC Stadium Course today, home of the Phoenix Open.

I hear ya Wayner, but I think I'm pretty locked in on rock n roll. I saw Arcade Fire in September 2010 and was blown away by their talent and humility. Everyone one of the 7 band members played at two and some 3 different instruments during the concert. In addition to guitars and drums, they utilize a hammond B3, an accordian, electric violins and violas and a piano. Several times they commented that they couldn't believe so many people wanted to come hear their band. Really good young kids who were truly humbled with winning the Grammy for The Suburbs.

Great quadruple catch there Jim - that Rainbow album is a personal fav.
Those medieval instincts were well to the fore here and a strong indicator of things to come eh!

Enjoy them all  8)
