It has been in development for over 2 years now.....lots of people, judging by the response on diyaudio.com, are interested....don't hold your breath....

Right. What about answering the question?
-
Look interesting. It would function like a preamp, correct? Forgive my ignorance, but I'm assuming you would need an amp for each channel.
-
Poll added.

I did. I said "lots of people". If you need names, read the thread on diyaudio.com.
-
Not interested. I already own(ed) one.
-
At this point I'm interested in anything Hypex does.
-
i'd be interested if it could do 4-channel x-over/dsp processing.

FWIW I've been told by the end of the year it will happen. :D
-
I'd be interested - hopefully it won't be as expensive as the Ncores, and won't be more expensive than the Marchand solution, but considering the source, I don't hold out much hope for inexpensive.

I have one of the DLCP development units. It works pretty well and is a lot of fun.
I'm not sure what the price will be when/if it finally hits the market, but that will be the key.
Dave.

Well, I am pretty excited about it and really do hope it happens by year end. :hyper:

Here are some pics of the modules

Anyone know if there are any commercial offerings planned for this (preferably with a beta program :green:)?
-
Those of you that have tried a unit, can you please share something? How does it sound compared to a high quality (transparent sounding) DAC and preamp? Is the software stable and gives enough options?

I think for those that have tried it have had a version that is completely different than what is coming.

They have arrived!

Six channels seems like a strange number. Well, I guess that would be 5.1
Looking forward to seeing what you guys (Jason) do with this, I know you've probably already ordered, please keep us thoroughly updated with in depth posts when it arrives. :thumb:

I was assuming that six channels of amplification would be for a stereo pair of 3-way active speakers?

ooooooooh :duh:
So this is an active crossover. GOTCHA.

Not much to document as it's just going to replace my DCX. Still waiting on the other parts & pieces though.

Missing a lot of features for this price.
FIR, World Clock IN

Yes, it seems incomplete in terms of details, and maybe also, features. As Jon posted on HTG:
Looks like it's the start of a release of material/modules, but a lot of details are hazy- output volume control? It supports an IRDA input- What are the remote protocols? Is there an off of the shelf remote that would work with it? Ganging multi-channel volume controls together? (they do apparently intend it to directly interface with UCD and NCORE amps- this implies a built in digital or analog volume control). Converters? DSP bit depth? Software to support programming? Types of filters offered? This looks more like a core board for an OEM, not a DIY hobbyist. And that would still require a healthy application manual to support, this data sheet doesn't even start.
The main issue I personally see with this kind of product, is just how good is the A/D and D/A? Clocks, etc.

There has been a fair bit of information here (http://www.diyaudio.com/forums/digital-line-level/164277-hypex-dsp-module-s.html)

Hey JW completed your DLCP project yet?

Hey JW completed your DLCP project yet?
Unfortunately, no. I've been crazy busy with work and with other hobby projects. :D It's on my list though but not top priority as what I'm using (DCX) is fine for bass management of my (4) subs and that's all I'm going to use it for. I just wanted an all Hypex setup and to have the "best" that I could have. It will happen.

I am trying to persuade the queen to increase from one sub to two.
What is the cutoff frequency and the slope ?
-
All the parts have arrived! Now I need to figure out what I'm going to do for a case and then figure it all out. :o The hardest part is going to be finding the darn time for this project along with all my other hobbies/projects.

I'm looking forward to seeing the finished product. It's definitely a system on my short list.

Any good close-up photos of the XLR connector board? It looks a little strange.

Thanks for the photos.
I'm just wondering how all those XLR connectors get their pin #1 connected directly to the chassis.
