Hi Laura,

I changed the title to try and entice more members to post on the thread.

The problem with that is this thread is in "The Vinyl Circle". Too specific to bring in digital listeners. Also, 'Rock and Roll' means many things to many people. There were many cool 'not so rock and roll' recommendations before the title change. A lot of great jazz albums..... I visit here often, and love the recommendations, but I think you should change the title back to what it was and stick with it. It was cool. I liked it. There are existing circles for the other stuff.

I see that, but the thread still shows under The Vinyl Circle. More posters is good.  :D

If the powers that be become upset they can move the thread to another circle. Vinyl albums are still being posted here.

Where will 'etcarroll' post about the vinyl jazz albums he's listening to? Guess that will be in the "etcarroll's "what vinyl jazz album are you listening to now" thread.

I asked that thread be moved to the appropriate circle.

With that I’ll be taking an extended break from A/C. I’d like to thank everyone who has supported this thread.

You have turned me on to so many artists and i have learned rnr tidbits and info from you for years.  If your taking a leave cause your burned out that's a whole different animal but if your taking a leave cause of where your circle is at then reconsider please.

Thank you to whomever posted this. I bought a copy and really dig it. :thumb:

:thumb:  Great disc w/great musicians. fwiw I don't see it's available on vinyl either at Azon or Discogs, and certainly deserves to be shared here.

Bill, please reconsider. Your knowledge & sharing of rock history, and artists is a great asset to AudioCircle. So you/we've added CDs to the thread, BFD ! I'm relatively certain if Admin had had any issues they'd have spoken up. They haven't, so there aren't.

I remember in RnR's infancy record companies in the states were creating press to try and get American RnR bands a beachhead across the pond to compete with their bands. Some moron dubbed Cactus as THE AMERICAN LED ZEPPELIN.  The irony is Cactus had a gig in Boston but their flight was snowed  in so the opening act was told that they are the headliners. That band went on to become one of America's biggest bands of all time. That band? AEROSMITH.
