UFO II  ~  Flying

Beacon Gt. Britain, 1971

From AMG: The album is capped with the title track, 26 and a half minutes of strange guitar wizardry. "Flying" was the soundtrack to many an acid trip when it first appeared, and to some people it is UFO's crowning achievement.

King Crimson  ~  Three of a Perfect Pair

Warner Bros.

Levin, usually the most accessible Crim member has eluded me all these years. I met him about five years ago at a Crimson Projekt show and I should have brought the lp with me that evening.

An exciting afternoon in '84!!

QRP Stereo reissue on 200g vinyl. I have the Mono QRP reissue too. After reading Robert Baird's review I just had to buy the Stereo version. Incredible soundstage.

Oops, forgot where I was ... the Projekts tend to do that to me and post-Merlot fugginess can be blamed as well. That particular offering was from the Thrak - Limited Edition Box set, Import, Limited Edition. I hope P-Man can overlook the blasphemy and that near unforgivable transgression.  :duh:

This, however, is vinyl. Anyone who cares for ICCK or Poseidon era Crimson - and sadly I am no longer among their number - should definitely have this.

Sure would like vinyl for the Thrak and other double trio albums.
