Spirit:  Twelve Dreams of Dr. Sardonicus

Ok, 1st trip to the record store in probably 20 yrs today. Jive Time Records, Fremont neighborhood of Seattle. Nice folks, main store is your basic hole in the wall, and they have an annex in a neighborhood market a block or so away. Will probably hit them again, but not for a bit. Seattle has become a victim of it's own success. It used to be fun to run into 'town', hit the Pike Place Market, browse, pick up some real bagels at the 3 Girls Bakery. Now there's effectively no on street parking, meter & lot rates are a joke, if you can even find a space there. For us outlanders it seems the City, not the people, has the attitude of, if you're not a resident or tourist, don't bother coming here. Anyway, also finally my 1st use of the Spin Clean. Simple enough, haven't cleaned a really grungy one yet, but started with this and sounds pretty good. Bill, Laura, Bob, Doc, Gene, DaveyW, Toni, & company, 'Thanks' (I think   ). Now where is the closest local vinylholics annonymous chapter so I can keep this thing under control ?

Cleaning definitely can make a difference. Think I picked this up at Goodwill a while back, unlistenable. Still has a couple of tracks I can't hack on side one, but the rest is pretty good. We'll see how side 2 goes. Evening Robin, good to hear from you. :thumb:  (and I'm still looking for a copy of Captain Eo's Voyage  :duh: didn't pick one up back when it came out & you posted.) Stay cool man.

Thanks CB. The Captain Beyond was the priciest purchase I made the other day. Not perfect by any stretch, but pretty good. Will definitely do till chance shows me a pristine one. It was the only Capt B they had, and I had a feeling it's not that common a find. I picked up two Spirits, the 12 Dreams, and the 1st. 12 Dreams cleaned up pretty good, have yet to play 'The family that plays together'. Also picked up a number of jaxx (edited for v_l) releases. A fine copy of Getting There (Abercrombie), and passable copy of Colours of Chloe (Weber). Hope to spend some time working/playing with the 'new' camera now that work is under control, so I can post actual pictures again.

Have a great weekend, may get back here a little later, more odds & ends to do. Keep 'em spinnin', and be Cool Man.  8)
