Carole King
Tapestry

I haven't listened to this in ages.  It really is quite a spectacular album.

Yes it is. A long way from her Brill Building days. We wore that album out in law school. The 45 rpm reissue is really, really good, highly recommended.

I met her a few years ago on the Hill in DC. We testified on the opposite sides of a big wilderness proposal in Idaho, Montana and northern Wyoming. When we introduced ourselves to each other I told her I was a big fan of her music and had just listened to Tapestry on vinyl before I left home for DC (true). She smiled and thanked me. She was very friendly and we had a 15-20 minute conversation around her music and her Brill Building experiences. Very nice lady and a great singer/songwriter.

I've been working on back-filling holes in my collection.

Been looking for Peter Green's stuff either solo or with FM but coming up empty so far.
