Fairport Convention ~ In Real Time (Live '87)
Nice jimd I've got the dbl Streetnoise, as well as most of his releases on the big black discs up till the last few, but the time with Julie was special. Only have Season otW on CD.
Does this qualify as "rock n roll"? Just sayin'
So Pman, got lots 'o Fairport in the library ? Hope the weather isn't beating up on you too bad. My Brother said it was -8 in Indy last night. Keep that boiler stoked & fire up those tubes.
I'd say 'yes', but then I'm biased of course. His early stuff with the Trinity & Julie had some jazz influences, but was still R&R in the day. Once they split and he moved to the Oblivion Express I'd agree it all classes as jazz. With covers like: Season of the Witch, Light My Fire, Day in the Life, Indian Rope Man, Flesh Failures (Let the Sunshine In), it's definitely is more rock than jazz. Hope you're doin' ok with the snow & ice Laura. 4 days of fog here, 39, & that bone chilling damp cold. I'll take 20 and sun anytime. ........JD

We had fog yesterday, but partly cloudy today. Temps are in the mid 30s. I had 6" of snow Sunday and fired up the snow blower for the first time this year. Glad I did because by Monday morning in was high 30s and raid creating a slushy mess.Stay warm. You too P-man.
