Great thank you. How are you doing bro? Jan & I are sipping on some gin & tonics and the night is young. I had the idea of playing two albums of each band for tonight. Gives it a better flow rather than one to another. I'm easy, as long as the TT spinning I'm happy.  :)

Cheers!  :thumb:

            Bruce Cockburn:  Humans,       '80, RCA

Evening Gents, foregoing the Red Dwarf Marathon PBS Pledge Drive for some tunes & Clive Cussler. Sounds like all is well in the East & SW. Sippin' on some ice water, had margaritas earlier.

Last one for tonight as it's now midnight. I'm getting up early and going hiking to Sunfish Pond and that's quite a walk. About 4 hours there and back.
Uphill both ways

I did the 7.4 mile round in just 3 1/2 hours (this is not an easy hike)

The song Dead and Gone was an FM staple back in the day in NYC. I have the original and a later late 70's pressing. Looks like this is an original!

Joni Mitchell:  Don Juan's Reckless Daughter,   '77   Asylum Records  (w/ Jaco Pastorius on bass)

I have a copy but never listened to it, not a big Joni Mitchell fan. But it must sound good because three or four years ago it was on the Stereophile Records 2 Die 4 list.

It's jazzier than her early stuff Paul, if you've heard The Hissing of Summer Lawns, it's similar, and the recording quality on both is outstanding. Those two are the only Joni Mitchell I have, so I wouldn't be considered a fan. They are both closer to jazz than folk, so you might give it try since it's already in your library.  :thumb:

Your Second Thoughts posting was what prompted me to pull that one. My old friend I was telling you about arrived today and we listened to '3', as a reminder of the time we saw them at Butler in Indy. They opened for The Youngbloods. I'd never heard of them prior to then. I'm missing the self titled & Second Thoughts, so guess I'll have to go looking. Their latest is good, but way too short for the $. If memory serves it's only 20 some odd minutes, boy was I disappointed. It's a good 20 minutes, but I mean really, in this day that's all they could write to put on a CD.  :banghead:

July.......German re-issue

Quote
July were a psychedelic rock band from Ealing, London that were professionally active between 1968 and 1969. The band's music was a blend of psychedelic rock and pop, marked by lush harmonies, acoustic guitars, keyboards, and intricate lead guitar work. Although none of the band's records managed to chart in the UK or the U.S., July are today best remembered for their songs "My Clown", "Dandelion Seeds", and "The Way", which have all been included on a number of compilation albums over the years.
