I must say that for me, these vinyl threads are some of the most enjoyable.  I have discovered new old music that I either forgot about or was not aware of, and put them on my list of albums to find.  One of the great things about it is that, for a dollar or two, I can sample music that I might not otherwise listen to, which leads me to new music :thumb:

Here's to all the people that post here; this is a great thread

Bill

I'm glad your enjoying this thread Bill
Keep on stopping by then.   :thumb:

Nitty Gritty Dirt Band - Will the Circle be Unbroken

vinyl_lady posted this one a while back - still one of my favorite albums and I've had it for many years.  This is when I first heard anything Doc Watson had done, though I was aware of him.  Only in the last couple of years have I found records he has done.

Nitty Gritty Dirt Band - Stars and Stripes Forever

The Dirt Band album covers are designed by Kittyhawk Graphics' Dean Torrence of Jan and Dean fame.

Anyone with a Jan and Dean album?

The only thing I have is a greatest hits album from 1980.

Bill A,

I did not know that Dean Torrence designed the Nitty Gritty Dirt Band's album cover. I am from Denver and the NGDB would play at the Little Bear in Evergreen CO.

I have several Jan & Dean albums but since I'm at work I'll have to wait until I'm home to post a list of them. I know I have Drag City; Dead Man's Curve/New Girl in School; Surf City and other Swingin' Cities; and Command Performance (The Theme from the T.A.M.I. Show). Do any of you remember the T.A.M.I Show? I saw it when it aired in 1964 and recently bought the DVD. It is terrific and available here https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oLmZRyUbgFI. 100% 1960's California.

P.S. Great albums you posted. :thumb:
