Thanks! I've been wanting East-West for a while now and got it for 8.99. The John Kay/Sparrow lp was excellent. My first listen to that one since snagging it from the GW.

She got me a very cool card!

She's a funny one!  :icon_lol:

We went to Revolver. I never heard of Record High until now. I work close to there and will check it out. Revolver opened a second store closer to me in Tempe and Zia's is opening a very large store in Tempe near ASU only a mile from the new Revolver.

Thanks AD! All three of the lp's that you played would flow together very well. "953 West" refers to (as you might know already) a 400 seat club in Chicago "The Quiet Knight" (1969-1979) by the L-Tracks on Belmont. The club had a very storied history. The Old Town / Lakeview neighborhoods were something else in those days. Now it's all Starbucks, Olive Gardens & Sports Bars lol.

Cheers!

Always enjoyed Siegel-Schwall, was glad to see their works come out on CD. The Reunion CD is very good too. Ah yes Old Town, was too young to get into the clubs, and too chicken to try and sneak in. Steve Goodman, John Prine, Bloomfield, Bonnie Koloc, so many great artists were at the Earl of Old Town in those days. '69-'70 I lived in what became New Town some years later. 2 blocks east, 1 south of Wrigley Field. Some grand & foggy memories of those days.  :thumb:

Corky Siegel and Jim Schwall were a rockin', Chicago based, blues act (white) coming out of the late 1960s - mid 1970s. I've got at least 3 of their albums, but then again, I'm an Illinois boy.The founding members still make occasional, albeit rare, visits down this way to play gigs. Chicago brought us a lot of great electric blues acts. This same period also produced the Paul Butterfield Blues Band.
