Might be an "unofficial" release. Apparently, there are a lot of discrepancies regarding Johnny Winter's recordings.

From Wikipedia: Throughout his career, Johnny Winter has been dogged by bootleg recordings and unauthorized re-releases of singles from his early pre-Columbia Records days. According to one biographer, only about fifteen percent of Winter's commercially-available recordings are legitimate, leaving 85 percent that he had no control over.

In any case, I really like this record. Not so edgy "electric," very clean, twangy sound on the Strat. Classic Strat sound. Johnny's singing is NOT so raw (booze and cigarettes, etc.), it's more a younger Texas boy from a church choir, as he presents the blues numbers in a ballad style. Edgar, his brother, accompanies him on saxophone, while Johnny also plays harmonica.

Din this LP is most likely one of the 85%  :o

Green Label? Mine is the white one unfortunately but in great condition. A $2 thrift find.

Do you collect 45's? I haven't until today. I found a treasure trove of great 60's pop, rock & soul today at a thrift. I'll post them tomorrow on the new music thread.
