Gypsy was a American progressive rock band from Minnesota, formed as The Underbeats (1962–1968). Gypsy was the house band at the Whisky a Go Go, West Hollywood, California for about eight months from September 1969 to 1970 and were known in 1970 for their US Billboard Hot 100 single "Gypsy Queen Part 1 and 2". Most of Gypsy's music was composed and written by guitarist and singer Enrico Rosenbaum. Drummer Bill Lordan went on to play with Sly & the Family Stone and a long career with Robin Trower. Keyboardist James Walsh continued the band in various incarnations as The James Walsh Gypsy Band.

I have the original and the 1979 reissue. GREAT album. Dead and Gone was an FM staple. My 18 year old hates it, though, sounds like a bunch of chipmunks at times. BUT it's great, jazzy, bluesy, proggy.

Really dig the Fugs. I used to have them on vinyl back in the day. Someday I'll snag some!  :thumb:

I finally got my first rock and roll LP and what a great buy it was - The Song Remains the Same 4 LP box set (music from the motion picture)

No Quarter on side 4 especially got me going. I turned it up real loud and just got lost in the music. Couldn't continue reading and got completely absorbed into the music.

WOW! I'm now on the prowl for more Led Zeppelin live LPs. as an aside, I'm also looking to get some Pink Floyd LPs.

I've been missing so much! Time to catch up!  :thumb:

Nice Doc. He was in town the other day, played on a local morning station I listen to. He's still got it. I just ordered this CD set.
