Triumph - Allied Forces (1981) MCA

This is my first record played on my turntable. It doesn't sound all that great to me. Does anyone else have this album to let me know how it sounds to them. My turntable is a Technics SL-1200. I know it needs a new cart. Thanks.

I looked and I only have one Triumph LP and sorry to say it's not Allied Forces

No sweat.

I still haven't worked up the energy  to get behind my rack to replace a blown fuse in my amp, so can't play anything as it is.

If was a progressive rock band formed in Britain in 1969.
Referred to by Billboard as "unquestionably the best of the so-called jazz-rock bands", in the period spanning 1970-1975, they produced 8 studio-recorded albums and did some 17 tours of Europe, the US and Canada.

Hi P-Man,

Are you hip to The Pretty Things? I just learned about them for the first time this weekend. I'm enjoying S.F. Sorrow quite a bit.

Yep. I've now have both S.F. Sorrow and Parachute on my vinyl list. I'm listening to S.F. Sorrow on digital now, but I'll find the LPs soon. Thanks!

Thanks much for the link. I'd already seen that... problem is that only one of the trio set is vinyl. The others are CD. Doesn't matter whether you buy S.F. or Parachute. You get a 1 vinyl / 2 CD package set. I put the titles on my vinyl wish list over at discogs. I'll also pop into our local record store, before I would order on Amazon. Try to support the locals if possible.  :thumb:

I'm glad you noticed that "I didn't" and besides Silk Torpedo is pretty common I see it fairly often.
