  • I like vinyl; learning about tube amps...
Hi everybody. The past week in my free time I've been doing two things: making progress on building a set of NX-Oticas and watching "The Blacklist", starring James Spader.

Anyway I just heard an interview with James Spader on youtube that I think many of you speaker enthusiasts might enjoy: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hbeysUReLig It's about five minutes long.

This doesn't have anything directly to do with GR Research so my apologies to the moderators if this is out of place - I won't feel bad if you delete it. I just thought it was heartwarming to hear a story about a man who loves playing music at a loud volume, not on an iPod but on real speakers.

Thanks for sharing.  I’m listening to that Count Basie album and loving it!

 love James Spader … well, enjoyed what he’s been in & I believe he produced Black List…

Yeah, cute video.

I use a db meter app on my iPhone to make sure I’m not listening too loud…

& I live in the country… on 50 acres… surrounded by pasture & wood lots…

Do have some outdoor speakers… surprised at how much umph you need to get decent sound volumes outside.

  • To whom more was given more will be required.
    • Never go to a psychiatrist, adopt a straycat or dog. On the street they live only two years average.

He examined the LP carefully to see if it was worn, a real audiophile.
