Ground Pork

Arrgh! I mistakenly purchased ground pork instead of ground beef, didn't read the label until I got home.

The thought of eating ground pork makes me want to throw up. But maybe just maybe I can cook something out of it and actually like it.

So if you have a ground pork recipe that isn't too hard too make, let's hear it.

Not sure if you like this type of food but this dish is delicious. My wife makes a simplified version using chili flakes and regular basil. It's delicious.

What, you don't like breakfast sausage?

Mmmmm....sausage.  (said in my best Homer Simpson voice)

etc., etc., etc.  Google is your friend.

Or make Italian sausage and then turn that into lasagna!

Mmmmm....lasagna. (yup, Homer again)

I completely agree with JakeJ.  I can’t bring pork into the house as I have a wife and kid that love pigs but I do sure enjoy me some pork breakfast sausage when I’m out without them.

You can make a quick meat sauce. Brown a clove of garlic minced with one med white onion in EVOO until soft. Then add ground pork and brown. Add one can tomato paste cook for one minute . Then add 2 1/2 cups hot water stir add one Bay Leaf, S&P, red pepper to taste and a few sprigs of Fresh Basil. Bring to boil, lower temp to simmer and cover for one hour remove bay leaf and cook uncoverd for 1/2 hour. ENJOY. If you like you can use both pork and Beef together or just either one. Boil that Pasta.
