I think this guitarist is awesome. She's only 18 and I don't think she has an album out yet but I wanted to share. Hope you enjoy.

Guthrie is a virtuoso and a monster on guitar.  I'm a big fan of his work.

Guthrie has a solo album and he is a member of The Aristocrats.  His song "Waves" is on my daily playlist.

Lee Ritenour compiled some of the best guitarists in the world in a single album called "6 String Theory". There is a YouTube video about. It's an extraordinary listen with the likes of Guthrie Govan, Andy McKee, and many others.  Be sure to check out the KID who closes out the album. He's been playing only a few years.

She seems play quite well, but Iam not sure how well is it, why this video is a cover soundtrack.
There is thousands of covers videos on sites that are fake, a virtuose solo guitar is so elegant I feel sad when I see one more cover video.
It is a bad propaganda for the musician.

Woody Guthrie and Pete Seeger are great indeed:

Woody Guthrie was great but this is a different Guthrie.  I'm not sure they are related.  This guy is a virtuoso guitar player.  Woody Guthrie was a very instrumental folk singer but I'm not sure if anyone would call his guitar work technically good (I'm a fan, don't get me wrong).

Cheers,

Jack

If Jess Lewis keeps playing like that, I'll be the first one to buy her first release.

Just picked up "The Aristocrats" album with Guthrie Govan, Bryan Beller, & Marco Minnemann. These guy's are sickening good IMO.

I'm sorry everyone. I'm just blown away by these two. Jess Lewis and Alex Hutchings.
The music and their talent just does something to me I can't explain.
It makes me feel so good and puts a huge smile on my face.

It’s funny how I went from BTO, Bad Company, ZZ Top, Rush, Grand Funk, from the 70’s-80’s to artist like these.

If he influenced her, thank you so much Eric. I think she's pretty awesome and look forward to many albums from her in the future. It was a fluke that I ran across her on youtube but I'm glad I did. Not to many musicians get my hair rising these day's, but she's hit something in me that's been dormant for years. Maybe it's the cover songs that she does that I'm not familiar with, or maybe it's just she's so dam good or both. How do you get to be that good at such a young age. I'm amazed.

Listening to "Bad Asteroid" from the 2011 album. Pretty cool. Really good bass sound.

Some Eric for comparison:  Hint, it is worth watching :thumb:

It is nice to see more guitar based music and it appears that Ms. Lewis has a place for herself waiting...
