Newbie needs advice on building an inexpensive separates system

I’m looking for any advice on decent inexpensive equipment to run a CD player, possibly a record player. I have some Klipsch RB 61’s and I would like a warm sounding amp/preamp. Thanks in advance!

Welcome to AC!  What's the total budget?  Not everyone will have the same standard as to what constitutes inexpensive.

Budget?  Space limitations?  Aesthetic limitations (e.g. hate aluminum, want everything in mahogany :-).

Sound expectations?  Warm and detailed?  Warm and romantic?

Music preferences?  Dubstep, EDM benefit from somewhat different considerations than small jazz, classical playback.

I would like a warm sounding amp/preamp.
To get a warm sound with horns you will need a tube amp IMO.
