I am in the middle of finally building a HT system (seperate from main audio system) and can't help but think these little class D amps are perfect for HT, especially with the SMPS as they are very power efficient. I only need four channels (no center) at the moment, but 4 ncore + 2 smps1200v400 would be a killer Mch amp. I'd set it up so that one smps would drive the right main and right surround with the other the opposite. Surround channels never draw much power and you maximize stereo seperation.
Leave enough room in the enclosure and you could add more down the road.

Yes, there are many that I've seen. Be sure to post some pics if/when you do it. :thumb:

I don't think I've come across one before. I have a bunch of UcD400 modules, so maybe I will buy a pair of SMPS1200A400s and one pair of ncores for the mains and upgrade the other UcD400s later. I could easily compare them in this way since they will both run off the SMPS.

By the way, I ordered a pair of Danley SM60Fs for mains, so I hope they are quiet.

I have built several Hypex based amps. Attached a couple of pics. Been several years, so an Ncore build may be in my future...
Used the UCD180s on the 5 channel and the UDC700s on the mono blocks (L,R).
They are great amps...

Nice job. Can you share the case supplier?
