Bought a new Mazda rotary engine pick up back in the day. Biggest piece of crap and so is the company. Went through three factory rebuilt engines before I sold it for parts. Will never look at another Mazda.  My personal experience and YMMV. Have a Honda CRX with 283,000+ on it and after a brain fart on my part is running better than new.

My first wife had an RX7 which people kept stealing - the third time it was never recovered.
The cops said the locals would steal them and make low riders out of them (?).
