Accessories4less has Sherwood R972 for sale at $599.99 with free shipping. The site claims that this has the latest firmware 1.47v w/ 3D passthrough. Seems like most of the bugs have been worked out of the units. Brand new units with 3 year warranty. If somebody is interested in trying Trinnov room eq, the price seems right.
Compared to the other receiver in this price range, this receiver seems to be much better built, though I'm a little apprehensive about its amp section. HT mag measured it at just about 40w with 7 channels driven.
But still, looks like a good deal.

Does look like a great deal.  I got my Onkyo 1008 for the secondary basement system from the.  I have not looked recently but about a couple of months back they had the iPod dock for it for $55.

Mine just arrived from ac4l. Free Piano Black end caps are now offered and the firmware is updated. Hope the Trinnov processor allows this receiver to sound better than my passive pre integrated.
