ts3 and panasonic xr70 ht system finally realized
« on: 29 Jul 2005, 12:13 pm »
After a few weeks of waiting my 5 Omega TS 3's arrived yesterday.
I ordered them in maple.
This is my third set of omega's  :D and I do not have to tell you about the build, packing etc. (although if someone out in the omega forum land is handy with textiles, they should contact Louis about making some sort of velour or cloth bag for the speakers for shiping instead of plastic bags, surely someone can do this cheap for him!)
In using them in their un-broken-in state, they were still a treat watching Meet the Fockers.
During the soundtrack, the speakers were incredibly musical, obviously they are a natural for dialogue. :)
I have the lf, rf, rr, and lr all on skylan stands filled with the ultra fine Handy Sand you can get at any home depot style shop. It is as fine as sugar, not the playbox sand.
Extremely satisfied with the entire system and great sysnergy between the panasonic and the ts3's.
Sub btw is a velodyne 10 inch model.

Sounds like a very nice setup.

I really enjoyed both the TS3's and the Super 3's for dialog in movies
Clarity and intelligibility were excellent.

Where do you have the crossover point set on the subwoofer?

Hi danali,

Many thank for the post and great to hear the system is really sound good.

I have heard the Panasonic and I really like it with the TS3s.

I’m so happy you like them and your right about the bags. They work and are economical, but I'll try to find something better.

Thanks again and talk to you soon,
Louis
