Most of the press seems to surround the integrateds (which is fine) but I'm looking at higher power in mono configuration.

Currently running NuForce Ref9 V2 SE's with 89db, 4ohm speakers, TRL Dude preamp.

I've been told by a few individuals that switching power supplies are noisier and other class D amps have advanced linear-type designs with a much lower noise floor.

I already checked out the Ascend Acoustics forum and may give them and Dodd Audio a call if nothing relevant shows here.

Of all of the overpriced products in HiFi, NuForce Ref is one of the better sounding.  I don't think that the switcher in there is a big negative.  It's a fine supply made by a fine company (Skynet).

Thanks for such an honest reply Seth, i'm not used to that.

It truely represents a business approach I (and others) can really appreciate in this hobby.

Not to mention further recommendations to ALL my audio friends about Virtue Audio, the quality and attractive options (another rarity) of your products.
