Our hybrid cat Jasper doesn't dance but helps me pick some vinyl to play....and guards the system while I am away.

HA! I think that cat is playing possum only so snag your wallet!

I have whiskey!

Actually, we're having a "speaker party"/Christmas party Saturday. At the very least, it's going to sound awesome.

Robcentola - Does attendance at this holiday party mean we will have to wait ANOTHER day for a review?  :)  Just kidding.

scompracer - That is one awesome looking cat and one awesome looking turntable to boot.

I'm suddenly coming down with something.........

In situations like these, the best approach is to have remained at home...lol Time for a BYO event. Music that is. Come up with several categories and have your guests bring music to match.

Thanks for the kind words. That turntable was a Nottingham Space 294 with Moerch DP6 arm. Now I have a Lenco idler drive I built a heavy plinth for. I grew up with vinyl so I've never been out of it.

Jasper is a kewl cat. He gets involved, not a hide under bed kitty. He is a rescue cat, front paws declawed but has his rears. We were told he was a Bengal but he grew too big for that. He has larger teeth and claws. Has that loose skin in front of hind legs so he can run fast. Kind of looks like a Texas Bobcat. That is where he is from. Owners moved up here and dropped him off at a shelter. He never scratched that lid, or knocked it off. It only sits on the isolation base with a 45 degree bevel. I'm his play toy so when I'm at work he would get on the cover. The wife snapped the pic.

I wish. This is agonizing being at work and going through the motions. Like I said, they usually come around 4, so I have a couple of hours.

Yes, that's a great idea for a party. BYO music. "Want to hear your music the way it's meant to be heard?" A lot of our friends have the similar taste and I've downloaded some really nice lossless 24bit versions of stuff I just love.  Some of them are spectacular.

The clock is moving so slow.....

I'm sure it's nothing that a 100 lbs package won't fix...

I'm loving this.

They are beautiful, Jim, and sound spectacular! Better every minute as they were REALLY cold to start.

More to report later. I have listening to do before the party!

Wow.

Loving my speakers! They sound as good as they look. I am pleased.

Full impressions coming with photos in the next few days. It's not easy being at work knowing they're sitting there waiting for me.

Went home for lunch for a quick listen. Ricky Lee Jones, Miles (Kind of Blue new remaster 24/192) and a dash of Pink Floyd (Ummagumma).

They're warming up for sure!

I'll be doing that Sunday. It's the only day I'm home when the sun is up for proper lighting. I need to figure out how not to work 60-70 a week......

Having my morning coffee/check email/audio stuff ritual and I really want to crank up my system, but she's sleeping soundly.

Too early and I don't have time to write my full impressions; maybe Sunday too. I can say, in short, the detail, mid rage and clean sound is astonishing. Since Wednesday, they probably have about 10 hours in them and the sound is actually improving. I've read a a couple time where Jim said they only need 15 minutes break-in time, but I'm not so sure about that, especially after sitting in a truck in December for two days. I've encouraged my fiance to play them every chance she gets; she happily obliged.

Looking at them now and they are simply gorgeous.

Songtowers are just off the charts one of the best values in speakers.  We're happy you have them but we really get impatient w/o the photos. :o :P
