Remote Control Question
« on: 2 Sep 2008, 05:46 pm »
Hi all,
I am the happy owner of a Bryston 9B ST THX unit. I also have a great deal of other components and use a single remote for totals control. I am wondering if there is any way to get the amp to accept a remote signal (IR or RF) at all vs. having to manually turn it on?

Thanks in advance,

Kevin

I believe that amp has a 12V trigger.  You would need another device (like a prepro / AVR) that can trigger the 9B ST THX "on" or use a device like a current sensing one to trigger it.

Hi Kevin

I have a similar question but in relation to a Bryston B-100. I was wondering whether a "One-for-All" remote could be programmed to 'talk' with the Bryston, as well as my other gear! If it could, that would be a neat and convenient solution to a table full of remote controls! I emailed James to enquire but he told me that the Bryston remote expert was on leave and will attend to my enquiry when he gets back in a week's time.

Best regards
