Relying on source-code search engine PublicWWW to scan the web for pages running crypto-jacking malware, Mursch was able to identify at least 48,953 affected websites.
He adds that at least 7,368 of the compromised sites are powered by WordPress…
Conclusion
Well, it was a debatable comparison between ublock Origin vs Adblock Plus. uBlock Origin dominated most of the segments. You can either use one of them; you won’t notice much difference in your browsing experience.
If you are using one of these ad blockers, there is no need to switch, as the primary aim of these Ad blockers is just to block the annoying ads as much as they can. If you want an ad blocker with simple layout more settings and features than uBlock Origin is worth considering.
Adblock Plus is not a bad option though; it depends on you which are the things you want in an ad blocker. I am using uBlock Origin from few months, and it’s my favorite as of now.

Yog,
Are you running a Linux OS?
What Linux do you suggest for W10 substitute ?
Thanks for the insight, Yog.
Although I'm new to the world of Linux I like what I see. Currently running Linux Mint Cinnamon 21.1 (another Ubuntu variant) on a stick PC armed with an Intel Quad Core J4125 (@ 2GHz), 8Gb RAM & 256 Gb MMc drive. Came with Win 11 Pro installed. I installed a WD Black SN770 2Tb M.2 NVMe SSD and chopped the first half into small partitions for multiple Linux distros, and partitioned the latter half as storage. Surprisingly fast and stable.
My initial takeaway and greatest reward from Linux was the simplicity and light use of computer resources of Linux overall. I have downloaded many apps to replace the ones I am comfortable with in Windows but have not found a good Linux substitute for Outlook. When I find that I'll be working on the permanent switch. I'm just a bit behind the curve. ;)

Check out Linux Mint as there are several versions from the same developer group. They have a pretty big following and support system. Many apps available. For example, the Libre Office suite replaced Microsoft Office very well. I found the Excel equivalent called LibreOffice Calc to be an easy transition. Check it out, you might like it.

I'm not sure what features you specifically need but I've been using Thunderbird for SMTP email forever, runs on everything.
I think there's an Outlook web app which would presumably run on Linux.
I tried Thunderbird for Windows 11 but it removes or deletes emails from the inbox without my input. All of yesterday's emails are gone, both personal as well as spam. Today there were 7 emails and now magically there are 3. I didn't even get to open one from a friend! Most frustrating.
The version of Outlook I'm hooked on is the last 2007 Office Enterprise one that displays the incoming email in a similar spreadsheet fashion but emails just disappear. I paid for the full MS Office Suite and upgrades over the years but now they want to a monthly subscription fee. Grrr!
And my Win 10 machine has suffered a fatal crash and now only blue screens. Windows 10 will no longer boot. The last time I did make it to the desktop and opened Outlook I saw those emails that disappeared in Thunderbird.

It's funny, I started in computers with a 486DX2 PC running Windows 3.11 for Workgroups. :o Back then software crashes were fairly common and the best and fastest recovery method was to sit there and format the C: drive, reload everything (in a very specific order) and move on. In those early days I could do that in about four or five hours.
Can't do that now. So I really need to learn how to make images or ghosts of my setups and keep a backup of that backup. ;)
Seems like you have a handle on what needs to be done. I've been running Windows 11 since July 2021 without as so much as a hiccup or burp, it is 100% solid. That's been my experience so far. The Dell that died really didn't die but had what seemed like hardware issues. I'll revisit it to see what can be done.
Image files are a lifesaver, I have only had to use them twice. My music server SSD crashed without warning and I was back up running an hour after a new Samsung SSD arrived from Amazon.Good for you, sir! Backups are my new digital domain goal.
This past week the extension Ghostery stopped blocking advs in YT site to force me to buy his premium pay version, I had to remove Ghostery and installed the next one available in the FF list that was AdBlockerUltimate, no prob so far.
Experienced issues with Ghostery on YT ads, pushing for the premium version. Switched to AdBlockerUltimate hassle-free. Smooth sailing now. Grateful for reliable ad-blocking without the upsell pressure.Fm Whatsapp Download (https://fmapps.org/)Iam using the uBlock Origin extension since that day in 2022, it really works, some YT videos have more than 200 elements blocked in only one video.
