Has anyone "upgraded" from an Odyssey stereo amp to Odyssey monoblocks? If so, I'm interested in hearing about your experiences, namely the differences in sound quality between the two configurations.

If Klaus wants to chime in, that's great, but I'm interested in hearing from owners. That's what on-line forums are designed for.

I'll chime in quickly - there was "more" everything: macro/micro-detail, slam, soundstage depth and width, background blackness, etc. Music seemed to be playing effortlessly, more of the "musicians in the room" feel and the imaging was even more improved.

Possible negatives: more expense re: another PC to feed another amp. Also less floor space re: another amp. YMMV
