BDA-3.14 questions
« on: 5 Jul 2020, 11:02 pm »
Hello,

Would someone be able to clarify the following questions?

If I understand correctly, an USB drive can be attached to USB port on the unit, will both PCM and DSD files on USB drive be supported and up to what resolution?

Does USB port provide power to USB drive?

How do you access and play files from USB drive, is it some Web based application on the unit that you access to browse the content on HD?

I see that unit has an Ethernet port, does it mean that unit supports DLNA/UpnP and if so what PCM/DSD resolution is supported?

Are all the PSUs in the unit linear or there are some switching ones?

Thanks,
Sasha

Not sure if this applies to the 3.14, but my BDP-pi powers my attached WD Passport hard-drive through any of the USB ports.  There's an app called Manic Moose (yes!) that you can use on your cell phone or computer (or, I assume, tablet) to access your files and to control functions of the music player.  Manic Moose also gives access to Qobuz.  I assume it works with TIDAL and ROON, too, but I don't have those apps.
