Title: Phono 1 mkII query
Post by: sabocat on 28 Feb 2019, 11:55 pm
Hello Boris et al.,

I originally purchased a phono 1 mkII some time ago, and later upgraded to the phono 2. I have a prospective buyer for the former item, but sadly cannot locate the little switches that came with the device. It will need to be changed for MM I’m pretty sure. Wondering how I can make the prospective buyer happy. Should I have you guys mail him the items, mail them to me, or could I send it to you to make the changes and the forward to the buyer?

Best,
Greg

You mean the resistors?
Go to Vista site see the listed values. It's all there.
Ask Boris or order for from Digikey any value you need cheaply.

Oh ok. So am I reading this correctly? That for standard MM setting, with 47 ohms and 40db of gain, I just need to take out the resistors that are there? I have it set for denon Mc and the chart says no resistors are necessary for standard MM load.

Ok thanks for the help! I guess I should have checked out the website first. I pulled the resistors and tested it. Sounds great.

Best,
Greg

Hi Greg,

Sorry about the delay, I am currently traveling. If you need default load and gain settings, you just need to pull out resistors indicated on the website.

If needed, I can help you locate adequate resistors from Digi Key.

Best,
Boris

BTW: I got your email, everything is ok.
