As soon as Parts Express released the new 3/4" Dayton tweeters I knew I wanted to try to mate them with the Micros. The Micros sound great running full range and XO'd to a sub, but still miss a little top end sparkle. So when PE released these tweeters it seemed only natural to give this a shot.
I used LspCAD's filter tool to model the XO and was able to get away with a simple 1st order crossover with some attenuation on the tweeter. The tweeters are currently sitting on top of some existing Micro cabinets so I haven't tried them with the tweeter mounted in the cabinets yet. But initial listening is very promising.
I'm not sure on pricing as of yet, but just wanted to put this out there and see if anyone was interested in something like this yet. I'm also planning on mating these tweeters with some of the Tang Band 4" woofers as well. I've got a couple of XO's worked up for them as well but haven't had a chance to build any of them yet.
