Has anyone here upgraded from VHP1 to VHP2?  If so, what did you get for an improvement in sound quality?   Dusty, is it possible to return a VHP1 to you to be upgraded to VHP2? If so , how much $$$?

VHP•1 cannot be updated to VHP•2 (they use completely different circuit boards).

I would say 5-10% better...
The already low noise floor is now even lower due to the improved pcb layout.
The upgraded parts give it a more open and halographic sound.
The ALPS potentiometer has better tracking at low listening levels.

Overall very similar, but with a few added improvements.
