so, it's been awhile since we've had our Modwright Transports. Has anyone tried a high quality external dac with the Transporter and felt it was a worthwhile improvement? If so a stock Transporter can be pickuped relativily cheaply. I've been interested in the MSB power dac's at around 4-5K - people say and I agree the Modright Trans is very good BUT there is always something better - I'm just wondering at what cost. I have a friend with a Audio Logic MXL 24 that we will try some day. Just curious.. I want the convienvce of the squeezebox but the super high quality of a SOTA DAC.
