Title: Anyone with a pool/spa/anything that needs chlorine? Massive shortage of it...
Post by: ctviggen on 16 May 2021, 03:35 pm
There's a massive shortage of chlorine for pools right now.  We went to purchase chlorine tabs and shock for our pool (opening soon).  You either cannot find chlorine, or you can find it but the containers are tiny, and you can only get 1 or at most 2.  Last year, I think we paid maybe $150 for all the chlorine supplies we needed to run our pool for the 3-4 months we run it.  Yesterday, we paid over $500, and it might not be enough for the "year".

If you don't have enough chlorine, you might want to get some.

Here's one article on it:

Convert to salt. Much healthier and less expensive. Amazing the feeling of Salt water.

I wouldn’t have a pool without a salt water chlorine generator.  :thumb:
