I plan to attend to enjoy the DC area heat and humidity.
And it is so enjoyable...  Ugh...   And to think there were people without power in this wonderful weather for 5, 6 or more days....

Looking forward to the show....

I can bring my CO2 tank fitted with soda keg connections... I was once an avid homebrewer... now an avid cablemaker...

Cheers,

You can pre-register on the event website.  Tickets are purchased at the hotel. See you AC'ers there on Saturday.

Got an email from Gary Gill stating that the venue has power; I hope that no vendor pulled out because of the storm.

Greetings from Room 370

It was a pleasure to meet you this morning, AJ. I hope it picked up later in the morning--it was fun being the only one in the room, but more people should have a chance to hear your speakers! I thought they sounded great and with the rear-firing tweeters not only created a huge, realistic soundstage but did a terrific job of keeping the soundstage from collapsing from different listening positions (as you said). I certainly think someone looking at one of the big-ass speaker systems should check out the ones you had playing today (the ones pictured--didn't catch the name). The bass, clarity, imaging, and soundstage were all terrific. I'll have to pick up that Alice In Chains album (unplugged, I think--Down in a Hole).

Hope the rest of the day goes well!

It was great seeing you and listening to your speakers again.  Thanks for the relief from all the Jazz!  I was beginning to think that these shows have some rule that states only Jazz can be played.

They need to understand that people listen to different kinds of music.

The world doesn't revolve around Classsical, Jazz, Blues, Folk, or some weird abstract music like was performed in the lobby area; some of us listen to other stuff as well.

It's ok to like normal stuff.

I couldn't agree more.  That's why I listen to classical and jazz.

i got this late sunday from rim, (i had left it at his house a few months back); i used it to re-affirm my opinions on a few of the rigs (w/turntables) i heard at the show.  i was disappointed that the horning rig was already broken down, but i got to hear it on the azura horns, the volti vittoria's, and the surreal "5th row's".  freaking awesome cut, and a great demo piece, imo:

"inca roads", from:

i bought this album when it came out, in 1975, and it still sounds fantastic.  barely a tic or pop anywhere!   :thumb:

I think most of the posts got moved here: http://www.audiocircle.com/index.php?topic=102557.100  I can only assume because the show is over?  Anyway, no worries.

Two threads:
Mine is mainly associated with getting together for dinner in the Mid-Atlantic section; the official announcement is posted in the shows section.

Next year, someone needs to be the sole person to post all the pics/reviews in a review thread.
