ACI High Pass Filters
« on: 11 May 2022, 12:31 am »
Greetings one and all!

I'm trying to find an equivalent for the ACI high pass filters.

I'm thinking of trying the Harrison Labs FMODS from Parts Express but they don't seem to be an exact match.

Can I get close with the HL offerings?

I think the FMODS should work . . . there's only so much you can do with a small passive filter like that

Thanks for the reply Mike, do you know which ones I should use?

High pass for sure but what frequency?

Depends on what sub(s) and speakers you're using. Stereo subs can have a higher crossover, smaller mains need a higher crossover, etc. But generally 100Hz or below.

Thanks Mike,

Running ACI Jaguars2000s with an ACI Titan II sub or I also have a pair of REL T-Zero subs along with a single REL T7i sub.

Thinking of a pair of SVS Micro 3000 subs in the future.

I think I need to try and get close to the 85hz that your high pass filters.  I currently have a pair of the FMODS 70hz high pass filters.

Go ahead and try the 70Hz filter . . . should work okay. Also might try stuffing the port on the Jags. Might help the blend with the sub(s)

Not seen the ACI, but the Harrison Labs are a poor implementation of a PLLXO you diy for near pennies.
