Ok, so the Salkstream is connected by Ethernet to a LAN port on the Eero. It looks like the Eero has two Ethernet ports and automatically configures one for WAN and can use the second Ethernet port for LAN (or for a switch, preferably not a managed switch, according to the Eero support site).
The question is whether the Eero is failing to issue an IP address to the Salkstream or whether the Salkstream is not requesting an IP address. Since the Salkstream was working, the suspicion would be the Eero.
1. It might be helpful to download the Eero app, which lets you directly manage the Eero network. I am wondering if the Eero wants you to authorize the Salkstream to receive an IP address (maybe MAC authentication is on by default? Which would be unexpected.) Using the Eero app should let you see what the Eero is doing with IP address allocation.
2. It could also help to try and connect another device to the Ethernet port on the Eero. If it successfully acquires an IP address from the Eero then maybe it is actually something going on with the Salkstream. Was the Salkstream ever set to use a static IP address?
