Audio By Van Alstine - SUPER PAS THREE
 Tube Stereo Pre Amplifier w/ phono stage -

This unit was paired with several Dynaco Amps I've owned and subsequently sold on another audio community site. The Super PAS Three was last paired with my McIntosh MC225 Power amp.
I'm now using an MX110z with that unit so it makes sense to find a new home for this stellar Pre-amp.


The following feature notes were provided by AVA ( via the post that follows this one)

This Super PAS Three is an AVA Factory Built unit - with only the case and power supply remaining from the original Dynaco PAS Three

* The Super PAS Three uses upgraded circuit boards designed by Audio By Van Alstine
* Nobel potentiometers for volume and balance control.
* Phono and line output current buffer boards to provide low output impedance to drive long cables and low input impedance power amps
* Upgraded Selector Switch
* Upgraded Input/Output board with gold plated RCA connectors. 
* Custom double anodized face plate  - screened lettering  "SUPER PAS THREE  / Audio by Van Alstine"

It looks great with only a few minor blemishes and sounds wonderful.

This appears to be a full bore AVA Super Pas There with all the extras we offered:

Gold plated jack set, new selector switch, both phono and line output current buffer boards to provide low output impedances to drive long cables and low input impedance power amps, our custom double anodized faceplate and precision Noble volume and balance controls.

It is obviously factory built here, not from our do it yourself kit. All internal AVA circuit boards, not much of anything Dyna is left except the case and the power transformer.

It is a great value at the asking price.

Nice pre-amp here,  it's certainly worth considering.

I am interested.  PM sent.  I don't know what phono buffers are.  Sorry for the ignorance.  Does this have a full phono stage in it or is it tube buffer for and external phono stage.

I am interested in this preamp.

Just taking a punt, but do you know if the power tranny has dual primaries so I could rewire it for 240V?

Will let this ride through Sunday 10/21/18  and then we'll dust bin this listing here on Audio Circle.   Lots of general interest though , so thanks to those folks who reached out.   - Definitely a nice unit and far better than pre-amps that I've paid nearly double for.
