GTG at Zybar's on July 25th
« on: 8 Jul 2009, 02:47 pm »
Gang,

I am ready, willing, and able to host a GTG on Saturday, July 25th.

I'll post more tonight on the subject,m but wanted to get the invite out there.

Hopefully we can have a good number of people attend and a great time hanging out.

George

I think Jim (Hogg) is hosting the NY Audio Rave club on that day. If you're locked into the 25th then the NY ravers won't be there, and I know a few of them are interested in coming up your way for a meeting.

Sorry, but it is the only day that works for me.

A wee bit too far for me. Google maps shows almost exactly 2000 miles. :)

I think I can come. Heading back from the cape in the morning but should be no problem. Looking forward to it.

If you don't mind a newcomer, I'd be interested.

Thanks, George.  As long as it isn't in the morning, I would love to come.

Ok, just scored a pair of Danny's OB subs and they should be here in time for our GTG.   :thumb:

Here is a pic:

George,

Sounds good (schedule looks clear so far).  With any luck, my Abbeys will be done by then (they are in the final stages of construction).  If so, I may be able to bring them - if you are interested, of course.

I would love to hear the Abbeys.  Either way, you are welcome.

In fact if you can get the Abbeys and Danny's OB subs dialed in together you might be in for an awesome experience (and a comparison to the Vandys will be especially interesting)...

Thanks again for the Majibuss review, I've e-mailed Danny to get a hold of one!

I wish I lived in the New England area...I'd be there in a heartbeat...alas you are good 15 hours north of me!

Anand.

I will also have a Parasound JC2 preamp for the GTG.

Early next week we can firm up times and the attendee list.

George,

I hope to be there as well.  Do you want me to bring any of my Bryston gear (amp, preamp, DAC)?

Cheers,

John

John,

I think we are all set on gear - but thank you for the offer.

I primarily want to share my systems as is.

Some potential areas to make changes include the following:

*  System with and without the Majik Buss.

*  Majik Buss compared to Uber Buss.

*  Plinius M8 preamp compared to Parasound JC-2 preamp.

George:

Do you have an idea about time of day?

Also, what should I bring?  I won't be bringing any gear, but gear rhymes with beer.  Otherwise, I can pick up some wings on Moody Street or elsewhere, if you prefer.
