HT2-TL's in dark curly walnut
« on: 26 Mar 2009, 01:56 am »
Mark wanted a pair of HT2-TL's in dark walnut.  So we built a pair using some real nice curly walnut and shot a little dark walnut dye over the top to provide a deep, rich color.

Here are the results...

And a close up...

Happy listening, Mark!

You are one lucky sog Mark. Nice choice of both speaker & veneer. No doubt many hours of enjoyment to come.  :D

Exquisite work as usual Jim.   :thumb:

Whoa!  Those are very nice.

The black spikes look very good on those speakers.  I think that the other HT2-TL had silver spikes.

I always considered that my next pair of speakers would be in a different veneer, but after seeing that picture I'm definitely going with another dyed walnut pair whenever I decide to upgrade the Song Towers. Gorgeous!

Nice work Jim. Those look great, congrats on the choice of veneer (and of course the speaker) Mark!

Black spikes - I didn't know you could get them...

OOOOOOH, I love the look of REAL dark walnut like this. (Can't stand fake walnut woodgrain materials!) Those speakers are 1st class and thats the finish I would have liked on my V3s if it had fit with the rest of the room decor and trim. Yours are simply stunning. Enjoy!

major congrats Mark!

as Mark's friend with HT3's that first caught his ears,
I'll second that Jim's exquiste walnut finish catches the eyes as well
very well done and can't wait to see these in the flesh

bravo!

All this talk of Mark getting new HT2-TL's had me all excited... then I realized it was NOT me.

Well, that other Mark looks to be on the right track!

Enjoy them Mark!
