FS: PHL 1120 / LCY 130 with goodies
« on: 13 Oct 2008, 10:32 pm »
Hey guys,

I am sorry to keep posting 'For sale' threads under this circle.  I really want to sell these drivers with the cabinets I had built for them.  They look incredible and it would kill me to have to throw them out.

With the speakers I have V10 of SoundEasy, Music & Design instruction manual, a Behringer microphone with a mic stand and a pre-amp for the microphone.  Available is everything one would need to set these speakers up to run actively.

The PHLs are used in Jim Salks Pharos and his new 'unreleased' OB design.  The LCYs are used in his SongTowers.  This is a great opportunity to pick up some fine equipment at a good price.  If you have any interest in these speakers please ask any questions you may have.

Thank you guys,
Tyler

What is the approximate efficiency of these speakers?

What is the -3db point for the bass?

LCY 130 can be found at:
http://estore.websitepros.com/1736754/Detail.bok?no=329
92 dB (2.83V @ 1M )

PHL 1120 can be found at:
http://www.zalytron.com/
96 dB (1W @ 1M)

The efficiency would be limited by the LCY.
I would not use the PHL below 300 HZ.  I briefly tried crossover point between 350 Hz - 450 HZ with a DCX2496.
My plans were to have a dedicated channel of amplification for each driver.  That is why I did choose a ribbon with less sensitive versus others offered on the DIY market.
