Courage and guts? Come on, this guy makes millions of dollars playing a game. He’d run just as fast if his house was on fire.

Obviously coming from someone who has never had a syndesmotic (i.e., high ankle) sprain.

The reason the defensive holding call was bullcrap was that the refs were letting it go the entire game until that point.  Bradbury had been playing a little handsy on numerous previous plays without a flag, then suddenly at the most important stop of the game it gets called.  The lack of consistency is the issue.  Players to go the sidelines and talk about what is being called and what's not, all they want is consistency.  The other side of it is that we were robbed of a great finish.  The Chiefs would have made the medium length field goal, but the Eagles would have 120 seconds to make a miracle happen, or not.  Possible overtime, an AJ Brown touchdown, Hurts not making it on fourth down, all more exciting than Mahomes kneeling three times.

IME this is not unusual (along with blown calls), either during the regular season or in the playoffs, this year and past years...

granted that defensive holding call was not ideal given the moment -- but the eagles were 0 for 4 in the second half preventing kc from scoring in any of their possessions - touchdown-touchdown-touchdown consecutively (those completely open, unchallenged short passes on the 2 td's were an embarrassment for the defense)...and then the field goal -- as i see it they deserved to lose based on that reality alone, not to mention the fumble and punt return mistakes

focusing on the ref's call entirely misses the forest from the trees i think - eagles were outplayed and outcoached in all 3 phases, despite jalen hurts and eagles o-line playing one heck of a game, giving them a shot till the end...

The ESPN game analysis is a good, detailed, and balanced discussion of the game.

https://www.espn.com/nfl/story/_/id/35649198/how-patrick-mahomes-chiefs-played-perfect-second-half-super-bowl-2023-nfl-win-jalen-hurts-eagles

It really was a hell of a game. Right up there with the collapse of the Falcons vs. Patriots and the Saints Superbowl win (for me).

Yep, I give Andy Reid credit for he has done something far better in KC than the years here in Philly, half-time adj and clock management !

Seeing some of the local reaction to AZ hiring the Eagles DC Jonathon Gannon as the Cardinals next HC, everyone is in disbelief. I’ve read mix reactions where the Eagles team wanted to keep him but fans have been calling for his head the past two seasons. Any thoughts on Gannon leaving Philly?

I predict the Eagles are going to fall off a cliff next year.  Losing both OC and DC, along with an incredible number of free agent starters and likely retirements, it's going to be a tough road for Sirianni to repeat an appearance in the Superbowl.  Then there's the loser hangover factor.

Regarding my last post I wasn't interfering the defensive holding call determined the game, it didn't, I was answering that it was total bs, which it was.  The best analysis I heard was on PFT, the Eagles were ten points ahead at the half even after giving up a cheap 7 and their plan was to do like they had always done, hold the ball and run it down their throats.  While the Chiefs thought holy crap, we're 10 points down, we better change things up.  AJ Brown said that when we went up 27-21 I thought we might lose.  Essentially saying Sirianni blew it thinking he could play Patrick Mahomes the same way he played Purdy or Prescott.

Sweet.  Josh Allen Vs. Rogers twice a year.  No doubt will somewhat test the Bills' mettle.  I'm all in.

What's the success rate of HOF level QBs moving to new teams late in their career?  Kurt Warner did well, Manning won a Superbowl, but mostly they played okay for a year or two and retired.  That's what I see here.

The first round of the draft is in.  My teams did great, the Eagles got the best player in the draft moving up one spot to pick D tackleJalen Carter at 9.  Then the Steelers move up to 14 to snag left tackle Broderick Jones to mostly complete their O line rebuild.  I couldn't be happier with their picks, how did your team do?

Howie Roseman strikes again. Two great picks for the Eagles.

A++ for the Eagles. Great draft picks plus the trade for D’Andre Swift. Knocked it out of the park. Kudos to the Steelers for getting Joey Porter Jr to continue the legacy.
